Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa, oh, oh
Whoa
I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I'm breathing in the chemicals
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa oh
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my system blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
I raise my flag and dye my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We're painted red to fit right in
Whoa oh
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa oh
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my system blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my system blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Song opening-
This will be good for establishing shots of the mysterious woods.
First verse-
Images of industrial buildings and rust. The protagonist is seen in a medium long shot (lip synching) in a cramped room filled with tools. During the inhale/exhale the screen fades to black.
Pre-chorus-
The screen fades in to show burning/decaying flowers in front of a wall. I could add effects to it to enhance the emotion.
Chorus-
Performance in room, in complete darkness with a silhouetted singer. A mix of close-ups, extreme close ups and medium shots accentuate the performance.
Second verse-
A mix of close-ups and long shots of the protagonist, POV shots and extreme angles are used to disorientate the audience as the protagonist journeys through the woodland. Effects will be added to make the film look grainy. This will be a reference to the title, ‘Radioactive”.
Pre-chorus-
In the second pre-chorus, A strange, surreal area of the forest is seen with bright lights (editing) in a tilt up shot from the floor to the sky.
Chorus-
Performance in room, this time in brighter lighting, but still low-key. A mix of close-ups, extreme close ups and medium shots accentuate the performance. The singer is revealed to be the protagonist.
Third verse-
The protagonist uses new found powers (editing) to un-burn the plants (reverse the footage). Close-ups are used to show expression and to show the flowers un-burning.
Chorus-
Performance in room, this time in high-key lighting. A mix of close-ups, extreme close ups and medium shots accentuate the performance. At the end, the singer leaves the room, concluding the video and the song.
